Would it be tacky to share that I had a quilt accepted into Houston? Because if it is, I won't tell you that my quilt was one of 17 quilts accepted into the "Memories of my Childhood", exhibit! I am a little happy about that! Who can I tell if not my quilting friends? Ah gosh.....

They do not allow you to post a picture until after the opening in Houston. There are some house swap blocks in it from my swaps on the QB. They have been dyed and some cut up for the background. The quilt is about being an Army Brat and always moving. We never owned a house so I used swap blocks to symbolize that the houses I lived in were never my own. As for knowing me when...I think I have peaked! I just want to have fun......

that is awesome. I was a navy brat, dad was in for 30 years, we moved 14 times in 18 years. So I know what you mean. mostly in the South Pacific.
Can't wait to see it. Roberto

My husband was in the Marine Corps total 24 years so tell me about moving you don't have too! Finally the hubby retired in 2005 and now we own our own home! But if I don't start getting my SSD benefits soon things might change and we might have to sell or let it go back to the bank, our insurance keeps going up every year causing the house note to go up about 150.00. There trying very hard to move us out with the prices of taxes and insurance. Our payment is now almost 1400.00 month its just to much for one income!
