Patriotic design quilt for my 3rd son
 

I have made quilts for my daughter and 2 sons and had 3 more sons to make them for. Just finished this one for my 3rd son so now only have 2 more to go. He wanted a patriotic theme as he was in the military and so are 2 of his sons. I didn't find a specific pattern so just started putting ideas together. I also decided to add pictures of his family, of him as a young soldier, his sons in uniform, plus wedding pictures of him and his sons and also pictures of his grandchildren. Now that it is finished I have the usual qualms that maybe I really don't like it very much and worry that he and his wife won't. I decided to put it on here to see what you all think. This is a most awesome quilt for your son and his family. My husband was retired Navy and served in several wars including World War II. You have made made your son something he can be proud of, and I thank him, his sons, my husband (who has passed) and every one of the men and women who are serving proudly to protect us all at home and to keep our country free and safe. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
