I love it! Got the twister tool, but still haven't tried it!

Sewfine 05-20-2012 04:56 AM

That is beautiful. I keep seeing a lot of twister patterns. Would love to make one but done quite understand the instructions that came with the tool. By the way I have that same three fabrics you used to make the twister. Thanks for sharing.

Ditto. Is this done with the big Twister? I have the small template, may have to get the big one. Was there a lot of wasted fabric? (I know scraps). BrendaK

I am brand new to the twister. I followed the pattern that came with it but how do you make the circular pattern?

Thanks so much!

It really isn't hard. Essentially all you are doing is sewing your squares together and then putting your borders on. Once you've done that, you position the ruler on the intersect lines (beginning in the top left corner and proceed with every intersection) cutting around the ruler. Then, you resew the squares you've cut. That's all there is to it.

I love those twisters! I used Hobbs 80/20 on this so the quilting gives it more definition. Meandered in the center area and did stars and loops in the outer border. Just finished this one but have a Halloween twister that needs borders yet. Will post that one when finished. Thanks for looking!

Was this a pattern in a book or your original design. Love it?

The books for Twister are: Let's Twist, and there's also Let's Twist again. Websites for Twister patterns: www.gatheringroomquiltshop.com (they have the pattern for the wreath), www.handcraftsbyjennifer.com, and www.marthadzines.com.
