patterns for 30's reproduction fabrics
After 3 quilts made in my favorite 30's fabrics I still have enough fabric to make one or two more quilts. However; I need ideas and pictures of quilts to inspire me. Do you have a picture of a quilt made from the beautiful 30's fabrics you would be willing to show? And if so would you mind if I copied your quilt?

these are hotpads I made for a lady out of scraps left over from her quilt. I used the first one as it is a pattern my grandmother''s quilting group used for my baby quilt that I have. forget the name of the pattern tho.
The second one is a star pattern I really like alot. You could use these quilt blocks to make a quilt. |
How about a swoon quilt? I don't have a picture, but, I love that pattern. Here is a google image search link...

Check for any Darlene Zimmerman quilts. She has some gorgeous quilts done in repro fabric. I wan to do every single one of them, :)
Some of the patterns are Dresden Plate ( which she calls Sunny Side Up); Sweet Memories: Granny's Fan from a book called Granny Quilts. I got a used copy from Amazon for about $3 a few years ago. She also has one called Almost a Flower Garden, made of squares that *looks* like it would go together fairly easily (haven't tried it to see, though). |
I've done Friendship Squares, Dresden Plate and Double Wedding Ring all in 30's repros. I love them all. My next one will be That 30's Thing from Quilter's Cache.
