I love this pattern and I love that it's so quick to put together; I want to make a black & white quilt for my daughter and this looks like the perfect quilt- can I ask the size of your strips/blocks?
Thanks,
-kathy

Thank you Kathy! The original pattern calls for 8.5 x 5 and 8.5 x 2.25 in strips, but I cut mine 8.5 x5.5 and 8.5 x2 inches. I just wanted that teensy bit more of the focus fabric showing. OK, I fess up, I screwed up when I started cutting the Crappy Scrappy, but I liked it so kept that for the Peach one.

Good luck and let us see yours soon!!

It looks like it would lend itself very nicely to strip piecing. Cut 1 strip 5 or 5.5 x WOF and 2 strips 2.25 or 2 x WOF. Sew narrow strips to each side of wider strip and then sub-cut to 8.5" or whatever makes it square.

Your "Peaches" quilt is beautiful!

I did a google search for the pattern and came up with several by this name but not this one. Could you tell me who it is by?

Thanks

I got the pattern from my LQS, Sunflower Quilts here in Houston. That is what is on the pattern. It isn't listed on their website, but you could give them a call or email them. I'm sure Jill (the owner) would send you one.

Wow that is beautiful! Is that the focus fabric you showed me the other day when we were talking? (that'll get ppl wondering! LOL) The two complementary fabrics are perfect and the blue inner border really sets the whole a thing off - I LOVE it! AND the name too!

Yup, that's the one. Did you see the crappy one I did of the same pattern? Now I need to figure out what to do next. I really like this pattern. I just did a little DQ of it using the focus fabrics of my french braid. I liked it so much I may do a big one of those fabrics.

k3n 05-17-2010 11:01 PM

It's a cool pattern - I've got a couple of 'sets' of fabrics that I wasthinking of doing Warm Wishes or D9P but I may do this instead! Good quickies for quilting practice! :-D

And yes I did see your 'Not So Scrappy OR Crappy' one - there, I renamed it for you.
