I looked all over the internet looking for the pattern I used out of Quiltmaker's magazine. I guess that magazine is out of print now. I will gladly send instructions to you if you want to pm me. I will send you my address so you can send an self addressed stamped envelope. It would be about 3 pages of instructions.

This is a great idea for kids. And what an adorable little one! Thanks for sharing.

Pickles, the site you posted from Home-and-Garden is more like the one I made. Sashing is different but one can do what ever they like on that. Wish I could have been more help in finding the exact pattern.

He looks as though he is enjoying it a lot. He is adorable.

Precious quilt -- and grandchild. What a great idea!

Do you put velcro or anything to keep it closed.
|
That little girl is darling - so is the quilt.
May I ask where you found the pattern. Dodee |
I made 2 of these quilts and both won ribbons at the county fair that year!!!

Sounds like a fun quilt. Your GD is so cute. I especially like the photo of her as she tries to open one of the peeks.

I love that idea. Every time I see you screen name I have flash backs. We lived in Port Orchard for about 4 years. Left in 93 for Chatham VA. I have a really good friend who still lives there and wants to learn to quilt. Any LQS there with quilting classes?
|
What a cute idea! How did you do the flaps? (Hint-hint... a tutorial, maybe?) <G>
|
That is the first time I have heard of one of those quilts. Interesting.
|

Calicocat...Do you ever wish you was back here? You probably wouldn't now because our fall rains are here.
There are several quilt shops around. Material Girls in Silverdale has classes. And Pacific Fabrics in Bremerton has lots of classes and a very big selection of fabric. When did you live here? I have been here for 10 years. I worked for about 4 years at Pacific Fabrics. Moved here after spending 31 years in Alaska (which is where I got into quilting). Nice meeting someone that knows where P. O. is!! Linda (Kitsapquilter) |
tadpoles...what part of Oklahoma. I was born and raised in Oklahoma...western Oklahoma on the South Canadian river.

Do you remember the name of the pattern? |
First your grandson is adorable!!
Second the quilt is so cute. You just have to take a picture of the open block when you finish the quilt for your granddaughter. |
To answer some of the questions..first, the grandchild here in the pic is my grandaughter. The grandson is older..they are now 7 yrs and 4 yrs.
Second the flaps are just loose. No velcro. Third if your looking for the pattern and name of the quilt go back and look at the posts on here. I have it a couple of times where the pattern is from. It was in Quiltmaker's magazine. The name of the quilt is Peek-A-Boo Quilt. Not doing any tutorials. Go back and check previous posts here. Thanks everyone for all the nice compliments! |
