It's blue fabric framing the kitty blocks. I think the grey kitties make the blue look more grey.

I like your first one and now like this one a lot also. Hmmm, tough choice if I had to pick a favorite but I think I like the added dog photo and paw prints on this one so guess I would just barely like this one best. Nice job!
