Hi Everybody,
Peggy sent this quilt she had named Midnight Stars. It's bright, fun and Beautiful! I wanted to add to the galaxy/star type theme ..so I quilted it with Superior Silver Metallic thread An all over swirl on the Star blocks then in the black I quilted little loops and stars which were perfect with the silver thread..it is just so sparkly and twinkly like real stars! Beautiful Job! Thanks Peggy! |

I'm curious to know if you used some groovy boards or what/how was the pattern with the stars and loops?

I love this, especially the quilting designs in the setting triangles and borders!!!

Very nice! Of course the quilting is gorgeous, too!
beautiful, the colors really pop out
Wonderful job! Amazing how a simple quilting pattern can really pop and play so nicely with the overall piecing. I too am very curious to hear how you liked working with the metallic. Especially at your warp speed as with metallics you usually have to slow down to avoid breakage.
That is so sparkly beautiful!!!
Awesome and wonderful!!!!!!
Amazing once again!
What a great quilt. Very well done. And Charisma, your quilting is amazing as usual.

K I actually freehand quilt everything. On this quilt I quilted swirls by my own hand and the design in teh side setting traiangles are little loops and stars that are also done my my own freehand. I own the Circle lord swirles board..but they are so big and I can't manipulate them as well as I can my own to fit in any type of space. So I hardly use the swirl board.I hope that helps. Thanks. Well yes..I have to slow down...I did have breakage a bit in the beginning....but I just kept making the adjustments it didn't take long. What I have learned (the hard way) is that I only use Superior threads metallic threads. I won't use any other brands. Superior makes the best metallic threads that handle really well. I have a huge cone of gold and silver that I bought at a show ....great stuff! |
