Great idea, but it doesn't seem very Quaker, does it! lol Thanks for sharing.

Stitchnripper 06-02-2012 03:25 PM

Mostly Amish in Intercourse, PA. I believe. Is wine allowed for them? I wonder where it is bottled. fun though. If I were there I would give it a try.

debcavan 06-02-2012 03:34 PM

Well, it would relax you so you are smooth

EvelynJ 06-02-2012 03:36 PM

Absolutly! You must drink this wine for your quilts to have that extra flare and fine quality! LOL

NanaCsews2 06-02-2012 03:39 PM

Count me in for a bottle or two! Never while quilting though. I prefer straight stitches.

The wine is bottled at Mt. Hope Winery in Manheim, Pa. At the winery they have a Renaissance Faire on the weekends in the summer.

Have fun there! The wine shop is up a little from Intercourse towards Lancaster. It also has a micro-brewery on the second level called Rumspringa Brewery. Of course neither of these places are owned by either the Amish or Mennonite.

Hey I was in Intercourse, Pa yesterday also. I did bought fabric at the Old County Store and we went to
Bird-In-Hand at the Log Cabin quilt shop and they had batiks on sale some for 3.98 a uard and ohters were 5.98 a yard. I had to just buy some.
Love this area.

Blinkokr 06-03-2012 03:46 AM

Very clever, thank you for sharing Have a blessed day Ellen

Too funny! Not a wine drinker but I've heard it is a good idea to drink a glass (or two) before FMGing.

Love this area.

I bought stuff at both places also. I went into the Log Cabin shop to buy some charms (jewelry, not fabric packs!) for some quilting friend and forgot that the batiks were on sale! I missed out on that one! I'm going back in a few weeks to pick up a table at a furniture place there so I will see what they have on sale then.....if I don't forget!!!!!

mighty 06-03-2012 05:22 AM

Sounds good to me but not while quilting. I would sure have a mess!!!

Tartan 06-03-2012 06:11 AM

Hilarious! Does it have that on the label too? It would make great gag gifts to all my quilter friends.:D

Caroline S 06-03-2012 07:09 AM

I rarely drink but I would consider buying a couple of bottles for conversation's sake.

BarbaraA 06-03-2012 07:33 AM

Love it, that is too funny!

decky 06-03-2012 10:29 AM

Gee has that been my problem all along? Not drinking my wine while I'm FMQ, sure can change that!!

CAJAMK 06-04-2012 02:50 AM

That is a must have on my Christmas list. I live about 1.5 hours away!

kuntryquilter 06-04-2012 03:22 AM

A friend brought me a bottle of this as a gift. I really didn't care for it, it is a vey dry wine and not sweet at all.

deedum 06-04-2012 03:24 AM

They think of everything for us quilters, don't they! Yes, I'll take bottle!
