Yes, it needs a border to frame the design. I would do one narrow and the last one at least 3" in a medium color from your middle colors.

I would do a medium border, 2-3 inches. Of the most medium or darkest color. or color not so prominent.

Narrow white border with a scrappy binding. Love that quilt.

Personally, I would add at least a narrow border to "frame" that beautiful quilt, maybe a purple or pull another color out of the quilt.
