Peter Rabbit Baby Quilt
1 Attachment(s)
I am delighted to tell you we have a darling new Grandson called Benjamin Jack and I have made this small quilt for him.
It was a panel, which I cut up and re - attached with sashing at the top and bottom in between 6 Beatrix Potter figures and I used this gorgeous blue colour to give some definition. A friend LA quilted it for me in a balloons design. I also enclosed a Peter Rabbit book and a 50p UK coin - with Peter Rabbit on the front of the coin. His Mum was delighted with it ! |
Congratulations on your new arrival! I am sure this will be a favorite blankee for him.

Congratulations on your new GS. The blue fabric was spot on in bringing cheerfulness to the quilt. What a wonderful way to use a panel. The quilting is lovely also.

Peter is such a hansom fellow. He has all the characteristics of a child and has the most diverse set of friends. How can we not just love him! Good re-use of a charming panel. Congratulations on a new grandson in your life.

Congratulations Grandma. Adorable and cute quilt. Lovely work.
|
Such a cute quilt! Love that you included the book, makes a lovely gift. Peter Rabbit was also the theme for our first grandson's room. He is about to turn 23. His mom and I still refer to him and his brother who came along 16 months later, as the "bunnies". Not in front of them, of course! :) Such fun, thanks for sharing!

Absolutely adorable.

This is a delightful quilt. I just love Beatrix Potter. It has motivated me to get busy doing something with my panels I have. I want to make comfort quilts, and I have to get moving.
|

Sweet, sweet quilt. Congratulations on your precious new grandchild.
|
Congrats on the arrival of Benjamin Jack! Lovely quilt too! Beatrix Potter has a character called Benjamin Bunny, too...
I got to visit her house in the Lake District of England while my daughter was living there. It's just like what she drew in her books... perfect little gardens for her bunny characters to live in. |
Dotty, this is adorable. What an awesome gift. I'm glad it was so well received.
I've seen lately that a lot of new moms to be are asking their guests to give the gift of their favorite book to start the new baby off with a start to their own personal library. I think it's really a special gift. The gift of reading is priceless. And, it is a bonus when paired with your adorable quilt. |
Benjamin Bunny is Peter Rabbit's cousin. So very cute for the little guy. The Benjamin Bunny 50p coin on etsy is $99.50.
|
nicely done and congrats
|
Very sweet and congratulations!
|
Lovely. When I was expecting my third son 28 years ago, I made a quilt using scenes from the Peter RAbbit story. I kept it for him for when he has children.
