Welcome to a great group of sewers… sharing their work keeps me motivated to do better.
I don’t know why you are not making full or queen quilts and the ones you have made are wonderful. I have been making quilt tops for four years and you have me surpassed on the variety you have done..
Such neat work....love the baby quilts.

That friendship star that you used for a swap (with friends names, etc) is beautiful. It would be so good to use up scraps. I like that pattern! Thank you for posting so many great looking projects.

Sure!! I still have my organizational information for when I ran the swap for the Friendship Stars... if you ever want the block size and info. :D

Never too many pictures of quilts. Good job! I liked them all. I love looking at everybody's quilts. I am so envious. I just made my first quilt for my baby sister. I made it purple, the Log Cabin pattern. My friend from Church said it was very easy, I told her I thought that it looked hard. But once I understood it and once I started sewing it together it was pretty neat. I am going to make another one for my oldest sister. I can't take for one and not for the other sister when I go back home. I don't know how to put pictures on here yet. When I learn how I will share with everyone. Thx.

Oooh!! A purple log cabin!! I really look forward to seeing pictures of THAT! :D

There are a couple of really cool stars that you've made. Be sure to join the blue and white exchange!!!

Brazen 09-23-2008 05:44 PM

I DO need to finish that Bargello!! I need to create some exciting borders to make that one bigger.

Sara, thank you! I'm signed up and ready for the blue & white star swap!! I have bought my fabric already, too! Which stars did you like? The black and jewel tones?

SaraSewing 09-24-2008 11:58 PM

I really like the red/black jewel tones. But my VERY fav is the row exchange, second from the right. What a cool block!! What pattern did you use for it? I have scrolled through your pix several times and love your work.

I am having so much FUN looking at alll your beautifullllllllllllll work. Love the fabrics for everything, especially your daughter's quilt. Please start posting your pictures again. You inspire me. The first of your work that I saw was your jewel-tone placemats. I looked at those for days. You have an artistic eye and sense for what sparkles!

I am always up for more inspiration.
As far as your round robin quilt? Remember, when someone is all snuggled down and cozy under it ... there ARE no ruffles ... just cozy little sighs!

What a lot of projects you have /are involved with.

Your middle name wouldn't happen to be Superwoman would it???

You've done fabulous work.

Mousie 04-06-2009 07:06 AM

geesh louise, Brazen, but you have been a busy girl! I'm sure with a daughter you are at least in your mid 30's, but you don't look old enough to have made sooo many quilts, but they are fantastic.
You had one that you wrote, this above it:
This was back when I first started learning to piece. These are just pieced rows... I never did anything else with them. I don't like the fabrics AT ALL.
Why not use it for a backing? Some, that haven't been finished are so pretty, and i could think, oh my, wonder why she didn't finish that...I know why,...you are so eager to get to next idea...like us all. At least you do finish them, eventually, and they turn out so great! woo hoo, have enjoyed this! :D

k3n 04-06-2009 07:14 AM

Great idea to use less than favourite tops as backing!
