wow and look at all the ribbons and yarn too. How does everybody fold their fabric so it comes out exactly the same size? I wanna come over and just touch and hold all your toys. Mary

Oh my goodness! What a beautiful, organized room. And I love your built in cabinets and your collection of fabric and yarn. You could open a small store haha. Very comfortable room!

Very nice! You have as much yarn almost as Joann's!

I used thread racks-holds 120 spools each. We screwed them onto a board (after I covered the board in an old sheet) and screwed the board onto the wall.

Crocheting actually. But I also pick up yarn on a really good sale and have inherited some. The cabinets dont always look this full. I give to others because if I know they have a yarn hobby, I would rather give the yarn than give money. I know it went to the hobby. Kind of like buying groceries for someone who needs it rather than handing over money. Hope that makes sense.

If I just had the places you have for your material my life would be sew fabulous
thanks for sharing
its beautiful

A few years ago we created an office space out of a bedroom upstairs. Added cabinets like the ones in sewing room along with an L shaped counter. It was easy and I didn't want office furniture as it is limited. So, we took the idea from that and put in cabinets in small bedreoom downstairs for a sewing room. Stacked them and screwed them to the wall. For putting quilts together, I set up 3 white rectangle folding tables in family room. I cannot be down working off the floor anymore-and now I don't have to! :-D

The ones I dont have on display in the rest of the house, I have in the smaller cabinets above the counter in the sewing room pictures.

Threadart.com. Yes, cotton and embroidery. I have a Babylock Ellegante that I embroider on-as well as regular sewing and quilting. The large cones of thread- some inherited, some rummage sales, and also Ebay.
