Yes, it does keep the thread from untangling. I use pieces large enough to put over the top and bottom of the cones. It peels off easily when I want to use the thread, and seals back up. It does not seem to harm the thread in any way.

There is Christmas ribbon there, gift ribbon, doll clothes ribbon, etc. etc. Stuff I have collected and been given over the years. This room is a product of 35 years of sewing notions/tools, and 20 years of all the rest. The fabric is mainly the past 4-5 years. All my older fabrics were donated to 2 local churches, as well as yarn. I have gotten great deals on the yarn, and donate also to those elderly/clubs/disabled in our area that need to keep their hands busy. I have little time to give but I do give yarn and fabric locally as sometimes that is the one thing they enjoy, but they don't always have access to.

UUUMMMM. Don't think so. He is a workaholic and has no hobbies. Yet. We are still young in early 50's. His hobby is the History Channel. He does come in and visit often enough, but also knows this is something I have done since 8 yrs old and I have no intention of stopping. He works, I just lost my job 2 weeks ago today(involuntary layoff) and he enjoys breakfast, dinner when he gets home, laundry cleaning shopping all done. I do this for us, and he supports my sewing/craft room. YUP, he is a keeper!
