I am set up in what is officially the "formal living room". It's large and central to the house and has a bay window. It has no closets or doors!

I just started quilting so my focus in there is still more towards machine embroidery.

Sewing table, computer and tv (I've replaced the tables with bigger ones since this was taken)

Now that's what I call a creative space! I am so jealous of all this room. I am sharing an office and it is always a mess. Color me green. PS- I love your wall colors! So bright and happy.

Wow, quite the setup there especially with your embrodiery machine and serger.

mountain-moma 07-26-2010 03:34 PM

Love it so much space

leatheflea 07-26-2010 03:36 PM

Wow that looks more like a business than a hobby, I'm jealous.

We're still working on it, I'm not happy with the ironing board and I'm going back to my original idea of a pressing table. Searching for a free or cheap kitchen cabinet base that I can use.

Very nice space. What will you do when you have visitors? What will you do when young kids come to visit? Do you have plans to put up doors? Sorry for all the questions, just curious. Pretty Daughter.

quiltinggirl 07-26-2010 03:50 PM

I really like the way you have it all spaced out! :)

We have a family room that we love to share and we keep an eye on young kids. Our house is not kid-proof in any room anymore. I do have a screen by the front door so that visitors aren't looking right at my mess.

Have to laugh though, people always ask to see my studio and we often end up perched on the stools in there.

My thoughts exactly. I would say that you sew professionally instead of it just being a hobby.

We have a blue crowned conure. He likes to click along with my machines.

wvdek 07-26-2010 07:08 PM

cyniree 07-27-2010 04:56 AM

very cool, I would so love to do this to our living room. No one is ever there anymore, they are all to busy.

mygirl66 07-27-2010 05:00 AM

I fell off of my chair when I saw that! WOW! Can I come live with you?!

daniellern76 07-27-2010 05:06 AM

Wow, I love it. I use the dning room table, but then have to pack everything away in time for dinner. Sometimes if I'm really engulfed ina project, we eat in the family room on TV trays!

Ritzquilts 07-27-2010 07:36 AM

Very nice, and glad you made use of the space

Jim's Gem 07-27-2010 10:30 AM

You have a very nice room!!!

Kooklabell 07-27-2010 10:45 AM

Wicked space! Boy would I love to be able to move from station to station instead of set-up, move on, take down.... Maybe I'd finish more projects!

littlehud 07-27-2010 05:43 PM

What a wonderful sewing room. I love it.

susie0808 07-27-2010 06:11 PM

Great space!! When you get visitors do they enter in that room since it's at the front door? I know you have a screen but do they still enter through it? We moved my room to the back of the house so visitors don't see my mess.

ejpkam 07-28-2010 06:47 AM

wonderful !

quiltjoey 10-08-2011 07:30 PM

Fabulous setup! You must get scads accomplished with all your workstations...

zoeytoo 10-08-2011 07:35 PM

It must be great to have a place for everything and everything in its place. I have tote bags with what I need ready to take to our Rv in the summer but never know exactly what is in each tote. Nice to have organized space.
I wish you joy there.
