Took a break from the quilting of the Queen Sized Quilt and made these candles. The blue are Lavender and the reddish one is Raspberry. They are very lightly scented candles cause I cant take a lot of smells. :)

Yes Pam they are Christmas gifts. The tall candle holder is one of 6. I am going to make the other 5 today. They are going to go to my brother and his wife for Christmas along with some dish towels and hand towels. The candle in the heart cup is going to a friend at work along with a basket of other goodies. The two short blue candles are going into another basket for another co worker and the raspberry one I am keeping. :)

Those are beautiful! :) What did you use to give them such wonderfully intense color?

Henry: There is no limit to your talents is there? What a neat gift idea ...candles to tuck in with a nice, cuddly quilt. Good job.

Good for you !! A DIET is whatever you eat. It may be a good diet or it may be a poor diet. But a plan is when you plan what you eat. I am currently trying very hard to stick to the WW plan, but sometimes I just weaken to our cultural eating habits.

Oh i havent been on the forum in a few days, not like me at all, so im just trying to catch up and read a few posts. Those are gorgeous Henry! I used to make candles sometimes, they're fun to do. Years ago i used to melt the parafin wax, and add crayons for colour, and then i'd fill up a mile carton with a wick and some ice, and then fill with wax, the ice cubes melt, and you're left with little holes in the candle. Now i like making beeswax candles. I go to a craft store, and just buy a sheet of honeycomb looking wax, and you just lay down your wick, and roll into a candle. I love the slight honey scent. I love the coffee candle you showed once Henry, would love to know how you made that one :)

Henry-I love your candles and I really like the different containers you made them in!! I made candles years ago--it is so much fun, isn't it??

That candle was bought by me not made by me. I am not sure how they made that one to have the coffee beans wrapped around the bottom.
