So these are pictures of my booth at the craft fair yesterday. I was right next to the garbage can...and I only sold one little pillow for a grand total profit of $3. Anyway, take a look and let mek now what you think.

I think your items are lovely:)
|
I really don't understand why you didn't sell more?
|
I think that says more about the economy than your stuff.
|
Sorry you didn't sell more. I think your work looks great.
|
Great looking booth.

What can help sometimes, too, is organizing items on your table by size and type, to make it easier for potential customers to browse. :-) Hope this helps in the future! *wishes she could equal your skill* |
Your table looks fine to me! My table was VERY crowded. I had my mice piled on top of each other on the end, then layed some of the runners over the edge of the table with some folded on top, then next to that was my pillowcases. That was the front of the table.
In the middlish part behind the mice, I had some of my totes, then the soft books, a few more totes, then my towels. That pretty much took up the rest of the table. Behind my chair I had a rack that hung my quilts and more of my totes. It looked really crowded, but that was the best I could do. I only had a 6ft table, which cost me $65. Hubby suggested that next year, I find a hat/coat rack to hand my totes, that would take some of the crowdedness off the table. I really do think it was/is the economy and what people are looking for in different areas. I'm just sad for you that you didn't sell more. Your things are beautiful! |
I think your table looked great! I'm so sorry that your items didn't sell. The only thing that I personally would have done differently is have a place behind you where you could hang up a couple of items. I say that cause I made myself a display screen that I could do that on. Then folks can see some of your items from across the room. Of course, it would mean that you would have to find a place to store your display rack!! I have several display shelves and racks taking up space in my garage!!

I don't know what was wrong with the people in your area -- were you in Nashville??
I love that blue necklace that was on the corner of your table. How much? |
Your booth looks very cute and colorful. And you had lots of different items. It's just a tough time now. The economy has messed with everyone.

Your work looks beautiful.... seeing you asked, I feel that the table is a little crowded.... yes, being able to pin some quilts behind you would have helped... and any table runners I would have laid them out flat going the short way across the table... then they can be seen well... well done though....

Yup. Economy. Everything looks good.
|
So sorry, but it all looks lovely
|
Great booth, how did you do? |
Looks good to me. I guess people wanted something for nothing.
|
Sorry you only sold one thing. Everything looks great. I just think right now people can't afford much..... Last Craft fair I did was years ago with my MIL. There were more lookers then buyers. A few even said they were there for ideas on things to make themselves.

I have a few suggestions. I would use white tablecloths/sheets the same on both tables and put them all the way the floor/ground in the front. I would have a wooden drying type rack behind and display any small quilts/runners on it. A few small baskets could be placed on the floor in the front with small items such as potholders, coasters, etc in them and then the rest arranged on the tables.

Awe, i'm so sorry your sale didn't go well. Your table looks great. My husband used to collect diecast, and sell them at the swap-meet. One thing we found, was the end of the month was always bad time for sales, because people have rent to pay then, and the middle of the month sales were always the best (mid-month pay days), so i would say it was just a bad day for you and the economy. So sorry

You have beautiful things. The people that didn't buy from you they are the one that missed out. Don't give up!
|
It's the economy, not you.......

I feel for you. I sat at a flea market all day yesterday and sold one bag. My profit for the day was $15. On top of almost no sales, it rained off and on all day and then the storm came and ripped my canopy. We were lucky though, a tornado hit just 20 miles from us. Such is the life of us who want to sell our wares. I hope you, like me, make your crafts because you enjoy the making it part.
Your crafts look really nice. |
