Good question - I don't know exactly. I think about 150-170 hours.

Hi Sharon!
No, I don't have a complete pattern for the quilt. In one of my books about the British Quilting history I saw a pictures of a very similar quilt and I fell in love with it! :) I did a little research in several books and I found some patterns there (which I had to enlarge), other patterns I draw myself or quilted them freehand like the small scrolls. The layout is made in the style of the North Country Quilts from Northern England: a huge center medallion, a wide border and crosshatch background quilting.

So you see, it's not my own design, but it's not an exact reproduction either because I did some small changes in the patterns.

Andrea, At this point do you know how you will continue, or are you still thinking about what to do next. Do you have a hard time making your ideas fit the space? I am amazed at how beautiful your quilting is, thank you so much for sharing.
