Here are a few of the quilts that I have done. I do not have pictures of the 5 that I have given to family and friends. I am hoping that they will send me some so I can keep them in my folder.

The first quilt that I had completed, was done on a $99 Brother machine bought from Walmart. I have up-graded to a Singer Confidence. I wish I would have been on this message board before I purchased it, as I would have saved until I could have bought a machine with a larger throat. Although, I love this machine.

My mom was the driving force to my interest in quilting. When it is time to sandwich and quilting, I go spend time with her. She has a long arm and I am learning how to use it. Her sewing room is approximately 20 X 20. Yes, I am jealous; I have to use my kitchen.

Any who, on to the photos. . .

This is the second quilt that I did, and is in my quest bedroom. I even made matching pillow shams.

I made this photo quilt for a friend that has cancer. To let him know that his friends are pulling for him.

I made this for my brother, who said he does not have enough blankets.

A throw that I am going to be given to a friend as a house warming gift.

I entered this in Joann's Quilt Your Colors Contest. The photo is before I quilted and adding the outer border.

Nice quilts, & don't worry, quilt wherever you can right now. Sometimes, it takes many years before we have space where we live, to have an actual studio. So just don't let that stop you!

Your quilts are wonderful! As a cancer survivor, the quilt you made for your friend traveling that difficult road is my favorite. I hope you place in the Joann's contest.

Nice work. I really love that Tree of Life quilt. My friend and I did one together during the first year I learned to quilt. It was scary!! Some of the pieces came out to 1" squares, and I was terrified the thing would not fit together.

When we both finished our blocks, I prayed while I was sewing them together, and it all come out very well. I was amazed...but then again, my friend is a wonderful quilting teacher, and a wonder friend!!

krabadan 01-08-2011 02:55 AM

Nice. Great job piecing them!

nstitchs 01-08-2011 03:11 AM

wonderful quilts, especially love the grey, black and white throw for the housewarming. What is the name of the pattern? I would be interested in making that one.

nstitchs 01-08-2011 03:14 AM

lea is there a pattern for the quilt that you have for your pic, I have a friend with breast cancer and would love to do something like that for her.

chuckbere15 01-08-2011 11:22 AM

I designed that on Quilt Pro for my Mac. The block is called Autum Star.
