I just wanted to say how much I enjoy checking out this site each day. I have only joined recently and I have seen a lot of good tips. I want to add a picture to my messages but I am still struggling with that.

wow. that quilt is awsome.

I figured out how to add a picture (as you can see) and that is the Dear Jane quilt I made. Thanks for the kind words. But, what I really wanted to do was add a picture to my profile info. Still struggling!

That is a beautiful quilt. So many little blocks and all so pretty. Great job. Thanks for sharing with us.

Your DJ quilt is beautiful. It's such a huge achievement to actually finish one. How long did it take you to make it?

What a beautiful and colorful quilt!

ReeneeD 04-17-2010 02:39 PM

Thanks for all the compliments! It took me a little over 2 years. I machine pieced everything except one side triangle. It is totally hand-quilted. It was appraised at $2,650.00. There is no batting - I used one sheet of muslin between the top and the back. It is really heavy - I can't imagine how heavy it would be with batting. That is a king-size bed that is resting on. After that - I needed a rest!!! LOL

In the picture the scalloped edge had not yet been added. It has a scalloped, muslin edge and each scallop is bordered in 1/2 inch of dark green.
