Thank you for all the compliments on this box! I have had so many questions on it, that I thought I would explain it a bit more for you. First, www.chilipepperquilts is where the pattern Yucatan Sunshine is located. You can scroll down the home page and see where to order it. Or you can google Yucatan Sunshine and find it at other locations. I got mine with the fabric as a kit but don't remember exactly where I got it. Here's briefly how it's done:

You paper piece the four sides (they give you enough to make three boxes). Then you sew the sides to the middle square. You fuse two 17" square layers of interfacing together and fuse them with fusible webbing to the sewn set and also fuse to a 17" square of lining fabric. This makes it stiff enough to form a box. Cut all around the outside edge and bind the edge. You make a large buttonhole in two opposite sides for the closure. I hope that makes sense. Like I said, it ends up being sort of stiff so you can make the box and then you just iron it a minute to make it flat for the table topper. Fun and easy!!
