They have a very modern red and black family room. The pillows are the same on both sides. Instead of spending $8 for each pillowform, I bought two $3 bed pillows at Walmart and cut them down to size (18").

Beautiful!
And what a great idea! I try and change my pillows every year on the beds that get a lot of use so I have lots of pillows around... hmmmm... I'm sure they'd be fine inside a quilted pillow form! |
Oooh, I like those -- very nice!

Cathe... Great Idea, I love your pillows..
|
they came out so nice and its all from your scrap bin - how great is that!
|
:D I love those! I also use those cheapy pillows from Walmart or K-mart. I just squish the stuffing over and make it work.............I also use old bed pillows for the dog beds. Stitch 2-4 together, just thru the fabric, not the stuffing, and make a "pillow case" to fit the pillow unit. Velcro close the end. Works great! at least I get lots of kisses from the doggies that use them.....

Oh hey cathe ! Those are so nice! I love the color theme you used for them. I think the fabrics prints are just wonderful together. Just the right scale. Thanks for the tip on the pillow forms, I never thought of that.
I am thinking log cabin right? |
I love the pillows, pattern and your idea of cutting down bed sized pillows!
|
Stunning. Good job.
