As per request,
This is my most clever of all pin cushions. My wonderfully creative sister-in-law put this together for me and I just love it! She was so tickled to design it special for me that she embellished it with a beautiful ring the adorable beaded cuff. I think the manicure she gave this quite feminine cushion is brilliant. Does any one else have a special pin cushion they would like to share? I would love to see them. |
Very clever!
Sorry I don't have a special one to share. |

OUCH!!! That's just too realistic looking but I LOVE it. Do you thing that the two of you could put together a tutorial? I'd love to make some of those.
Here's some of mine that I made following instructions from dotcomdtcm. Silcone cupcake holders and Partylite tea candle holders. |

This is amazing. Did your sister create the patttern?
|
Me neither. Mine are the red tomato type from Walmart.

It starts out as a silky glove she usually picks up at thrift stores or yard sales. You know what they say about one mans junk! |

So cute and clever!

That is unique!
Looks like something you can use if you are mad at someone, you pretend this is their hand. Get your frustrations out. Did I really just say that..... Bad!!!!!!! |
Ouch!!
|
I love it!
|
Love it. Will you tell us what the nails are? I would love to make one for a special friend.

Those are really beautiful! Well done!
|
Shame on you, but you gave me a good giggle!
|
That is hysterical!! I remember seeing it in the back of one of your pictures. lol Woud you all believe I don't even have a pin cushion? My pins are in a small tupperware.
|
I use the magnetic pin holders and one that someone crocheted me about 22 years ago. It looks like a hat and has red ribbon on it for Valentine's!

Hi, well I guess I will send a picture of how this glove pin cushion started for me. I bought it at a thrift store and thought how cute! I could make one of those, so I have only made three so far, but have others started. I kind of over stuffed Kats glove, as it was my first one, but she loves it and that is all that counts. All I did was stuff the glove with stuffing and added fake fingernails you buy at Walmart. Added something for a ring and trim for bracelet. Naturally you sew the bottom of glove so stuffing stays in. You can embellish the way you want. Someone besides myself had this idea, I can't claim it, darn! This
is the glove I bought and still use. Inspiration |
I love it!!! lol!!! :) :)

I love the hand pin cushion it is so unique.

I thought so and it is easy to move and maneuver from spot to spot. I love the unusual, that's why it caught my eye and I bought it.

neat
|
That is really neat. I have a pin cushion bought from the store. I always see such cute ones all around. I suppose I will have to put it on my list of to do things. Would be fun to make one. I think I was in grade school the last time I made a pin cushion. Made it for my Mom think we used beans in a paper cup a piece of styro foam and some felt and frilly ribbon decor. Haha..what a memory. Thanks for sharing.

My response is "Ouch!"
My 3 year old daughter said, "Ouch. That isn't a good idea." She doesn't think you should put pins in your hand. lol Clever. |
Yikes! Great Job - too real for me too. But then I have a problem with the ones that look like dress forms, I feel like I'm sticking my pins in a voodoo doll!
