Pink baby blanket

I just finished this cute baby blanket. It is my first time using just cotton muslin as the batting. I was afraid it would really shrink so I washed the musling before hand. After washing the finished quilt, it wrinkled really weird. It looks like the only place it buckled was where I sewed or quilted. It doesn't change how it looks, it was just weird. I wonder if I should have used something other than muslin. All in the learning process!
Anyway, I still like it. I quilted by writting the words 'oink, moo, and quack' all over. You can kind of see it in the second picture! |
It is really cute!

it's darling

Cute quilt!
Do you think your thread was the culprit since the unevenness was where you stitched? |
Absolutely darling.

Very cute, anyway! Did you pre-wash the other fabrics? If not, that's probably what the issue is from. I pre-wash everything now, but haven't tried pre-washing my batting yet. I'm afraid to try that! lol I think I'll start using flannel for the wall quilts, though. Much cheaper and they don't have to warm a body, just a ♥!
