I love your flamingos!

Rosie the "Ripper" 02-27-2013 07:39 AM

Super quilt! I love the various positions of all the flamingos. Seems like each block being different would hold your attention to it without getting bored with repetition. This is the kind of quilt that would interest me. You did a wonderful job on it and the pink batik fabric was just perfect!Well done!

I am not only wowed by the color and pattern, but the craftmanship shown in the detail photo isjust exquisite. The blanket stitch is so consistent. Is this done by hand?

Oh I love your quilt! The flamingos are fabulous and the underwater scenes add a whole other dimension of interest. P.S. We just drove through your city ahead of the latest blizzard. Hope all is well with you.

This is gorgeous! There was a flock of flamingos that stayed in a tidal pool on my way to work. I don't miss work, but I sure miss looking at those wonderful birds each morning! I LOVE this quilt!

Beautiful job. We're just back from Florida and are sitting here watching the snowflakes flutter down. Nice to see a reminder of warmer times. About how big is one block? I'm on the search for smaller projects.

Sharon M 03-03-2013 05:36 AM

I love it! What a fun quilt.

Thanks!!
The birds with legs make 12" x 16" blocks. The mother and baby pattern if used by itself would make a 12" block.

This is adorable. Thanks for sharing it.
