Pink Pinwheels

2 Attachment(s)
This quilt I actually completed, not just a top like my previous postings. As you can tell from the second picture, the colors are much brighter than in the full quilt picture. It, too, is a donation quilt to my local cancer center. They give a quilt to each new patient. Due to the holidays, they are a little short right now. But the cancer does not take time off for the holidays :(

Terrific pink pinwheels! Nice of you to donate for someone who will be most appreciative.

bearisgray 12-02-2017 08:44 AM

What are the dimensions of the finished quilts?

You have been very busy working on all those donation quilts.

JoyjoyMarie 12-02-2017 08:45 AM

Darling quilt - it will surely be a comfort to someone who needs love beside them as they heal their cancer.

The cancer center has requested approximately 42x56 with a bare minimum of 36x45.

Great pinwheels. I know your donation will be treasured.

Thank you?

What are they used for? I can see the 42 x 56 as being a coverup while sitting in a chair and getting an IV treatment, but I think it's "skimpy" for a big person wanting to be covered from head to toe.

Pretty pinwheels. I'm sure it will be very much appreciated.

the larger size is so true. some of us do make the occasional larger size. and when i turn them in, i make sure to point that out... i label the size on those. some of the folks are in wheelchairs, so an oversized one is not for them. we are all made a little different.

bearisgray 12-02-2017 12:06 PM

I think it depends on who/what it will be used for -

i guess i didn't really answer your question... they are used for cover up in the iv chair

quilterpurpledog 12-03-2017 04:06 AM

Pink polka dots! The fabric makes such a happy looking quilt-just a perfect combination. A quilt to cover up with during these treatments is just a hug from someone who cares about what these people are going through. They can't get too many hugs-thank you for providing one!

momsbusy 12-03-2017 07:10 AM

What a thoughtful gift. Not only is it practical, but whoever receives it will be touched that someone cared so much.
