I was in my local quilt shop, standing by the cutting tables, when the lady beside me asked if anyone knows a longarmer for quilting a big quilt. I said.... Yes... me. So we went out to her car and she pulled out this large pink and purple quilt that she had made for her daughter. She said it was the first quilt she had ever made and she wanted hearts all over it but not in her applique.
Once I had it almost done... the last part to do was the meandering in purple in between the appliques, I called her up and said... that if she would like to add a special note to her daughter... then I would had that in there. I have been doing more and more of this. In the background fills... write a note to the person to personalize the quilt. In the last picture it is hard to see... but it says "Love Mom & Dad." Thank you for taking a look. Happy quilting. Rose The entire quilt. The center appliques. The border and the quilting.
