I saw a quilt on here recently and liked it so much I wanted to make one. So, I got out my EQ and drew it up. I happened to have a couple of bolts of flannel that I got last Christmas, and decided they would work great for this quilt. I made it for my DDIL, and because she likes tied quilts, I put on yarn ties after quilting it on my Bailey. It turned out so soft and cuddly! I will be taking it to her next week. She won't be able to use it right now, but it should be plenty warm for this winter.

This looks like the 'X's and O's' quilt pattern available online. Tutorial also available. I just printed it out a couple days ago to make for my daughter. Missouri Star Quilt Co., under 'Tutorials'

The pinks in your wonderful quilt are very similar to what I envision doing. And she too loves the tied quilts. Thanks for showing us this.

I love pink anyway & this is a beautiful pink quilt! Pink AND flannel! What's not to love? I know your DIL will love, love, love this beauty. If not, y'know the winters here in WI get awfully cold... hint, hint... LOL!

jlm5419 07-23-2012 09:06 AM

cindy4857,
This pattern uses three blocks; a half square triangle, a basic four x, and of course, a plain square. It's all in how they are arranged.
