This is a baby quilt for my new granddaughter Sydney. I got the inspiration from the Moda Bake Shop site.

http://www.modabakeshop.com/2009/03/...aby-quilt.html

I made the pattern larger than called for. The fabric is called Swanky by Moda. I bought the turnovers a while back. Originally, I wasn't going to do the prairie points, but changed my mind when I saw the charm packs were still available. I didn't have enough of the backing for the new size, so I added her name to some pink/brown on cream dotted fabric. I actually like the back better than the front!

I quilted curlicues in the blocks and daisies in the borders. I'm still fairly new at FMQ, but I like how it came out. :)

Thanks for looking!

There is nothing about this quilt that is not adorable. Love pinwheels in a baby quilt. The little prairie points just accentuate all the detail that you put into the quilt. Love the back with her name. Special, special, special.

I love this cheerful quilt for Sydney, and her signature name is perfect. What machine did you use for the FMQ? nhweaver

Thanks. I have a Viking Sapphire 830. Love it! It only gets tight on large quilts. It's a breeze doing smaller ones on.

Every time I see a quilt made from this pattern I want to try it! There is apparently no fabric collection that it doesn't look good in! Yours is lovely!

Actually, I printed them on the computer. I have a bunch of different fonts. I just enlarge them to the size I want them, then trace it onto the fusible (in reverse).
