Great blocks! I made most of these blocks plus a few others that weren't part of the original quilt along. They were a lot of fun to make. I even did a tutorial on putting together the blocks without getting rows turned upside down since I didn't buy the grid foundation. The tutorial went out the window when I was looking at my blocks one day and two of them had rows turned upside down, LMBO!

Great start, the quilt is going to be amazing! My 2 grandsons are really into Minecraft and I've been trying to figure out how to make them each a quilt. Thanks for the inspiration!

Gram2five, I want to encourage you to use Buckeye Rose's suggestion of the fusible pellon with the 1 1/2" grid printed on it. I did a couple of quilts that way ( http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...s-t234304.html) and it is so easy!! As she said, you cut the squares and fuse them on the pellon, then just stitch straight seams. You don't have to match all those corners!!

very neat you doing great job!!

All those small blocks and seams along with that pellon...doesn't that make it bulky? Just wondering as I've never used

If I were to do a pixi pic I think I would have tried doing strips when I could to try to eliminate all those seams, but that's my thinking.....

This is great. Did you start with a pattern or did you pixilize (?) the pictures yourself? I have a photo that I want to turn into a quilt and I figured this might work to do it but I don't know how to get there from a picture. This is going to be a fun quilt to watch grow.

Looking great, I heard the game's theme run through my head as soon as I saw these.

I've been wanting to try one of these. Great job!

I found this pattern(http://cuttopieces.blogspot.com/2012...ilt-along.html), and then more as I did research....I also found at a teachers store a coloring book of pictures that were pixelated....bought it and am going to use the same method to make more quilts!...I really don't know how to take a picture and do it tho, ;(....but I bet there is a program/app for it somewhere
