Planning new quilt from old scraps

4 Attachment(s)
I made this quilt back in 2008 and still have all the scraps. This quilt started out as an Irish Chain and ended up as a Trip Around the World. There is lots of fabric left over:

Here are the scraps

and what I am planning

What I had from the first attempt

After sorting and confirming there is enough fabric I will be altering these blocks to enhance a single Irish Chain going through the alternating blocks.

This is how I spend my time!
peace

Thanks for sharing your technique; it is most helpful to see how you do it. Fabulous quilts .... the one from scraps is the best.

Girlfriend 05-12-2013 10:54 AM

WOW they both are beautiful! You are so talented!!

When I have little bits of scraps left over from projects, I love to make matching coasters, or even pillow cases, if fabric allows. So much you can do with scraps. Fun fun fun.

chiefsblossom 05-29-2013 03:31 PM
