That sure is beautiful and just my pattern style, much like the Carpenter's Wheel. I'm bringing my stash and will be down around the 9th as planned now. I need lessons on this dark and light thing. lol

I really love this block. Too bad I just gave away BARRELS (it seems) of scraps and already-cut squares of all sizes to the Linus project. I am a scrap quilt lover from the beginning of my quilting career.

In your description of how you made it, you say "Each of these blocks have 102 pieces in them."

But I counted up the pcs your block and came up with 116 pcs. 36 dark/light HSTs, 16 dark/dark HST, and 12 light squares. This counted up to 116 pcs. Where am I going wrong?

You are absolute right , there are 116 in each block
 After the first 100, I guess it just didn't matter LOL

Thanks for the inspiration. Your quilt is really lovely.

Don't throw those wonderful dogears away! Years ago I saw a Nancy Ziemann program that used little bits and pieces like that to do really gorgeous projects - using a transparent or almost transparent over the top (quilted randomly, of course) to hold the pieces in place. I always wanted to try that, but never had enough scraps. Somehow, all my tiny scraps got thrown away.

I love it! I have tons of 1800's reproduction fabric. Mostly fat quarters. This is the quilt for me. Please show us pictures when you get finished.

Ninnie - I stand in awe. How do you have the time? Guess it's pretty quiet there in the hill of North Carolina and that the winds blow with inspiration because lady, you simply impress me!
