Playing The Scales

The quilt I saw was much prettier than the one I made, but here is mine. This design is way different from what I usually make so I’m still not sure how I feel about it, whether I like it or not. It’s 65x87. I added 4 more rows to the width and also made it longer for a twin bed. The free instructions were for a 62x66.

I like it! Great colors and design

Sometimes it's good to do something different. Trust me...its a great pattern. Nice job.

Love the pattern, and your quilt's colors are soothing.

My first time hearing of this pattern much less seeing a completed one. I can't imagine that the original was any better than yours. Love the navy and gold/yellow combination. Stunning!

I like this a lot. Great looking modern quilt.

Toogie, Lovely Bargello!!!!!
Thank you for showing us this quilt. I always admire your creativity. You quilt and so generously make your patriotic quilts. |
It's a beautiful quilt!
|
I think it's just fine and I'll have to go check out that pattern as I can see using scraps.
|
Another example of your perfection piecing. And I agree, not your style, but well done anyway. It is good to stretch from time to time and try new patterns.
|
toogie, it might be different from what you usually create but it still is a wonderful quilt.
|
That is lovely! I really like the Bargello look of that pattern. Good job.
|
I think its great!

Sometimes it is fun to experiment and try something different. Sometimes it works and sometimes it is donated to a good cause. Either way it is a win. I personally like it.
