Just finished basting my first D9P, thanks to all the wonderful pictures and tuts over here. This quilt goes to a male friend and I don't have a clue how to quilt it on my domestic sewing machine. Just a simple meandering or SITD around the creme crosses? Any help/advice for a beginner quilter is appreciated. Thank you!!

I do a lot of meandering.

Beautiful quilt. I would choose what is comfortable for me. Do what you feel the most confident with.

Thank you!
As a beginner, I'm comfortable with meandering, BUT a) will this look good together with this pattern? and b) I would love to try something new.
Any ideas and hints what beginner level design would look good on this specific quilt?

How about a 3 or 4" crosshatch, so you get an allover diamond effect.

What about diagonal lines through the blocks?

I've done this pattern twice and just love it. Both times in a rush to finish it so just quilted diag line. Diag lines are always easier to push around on sewing machines. Don't fret about the quilting pattern. Just quilt it and you'll be ok. People to get our quilts and just thrilled with the whole concept.

I like the diagonal suggestion. Looks great!

Thank you for your suggestions! The majority seems to lean towards diagonal lines. Sounds pretty, and I guess you are right with your advice not to overthink it.

What foot would you use for the diagonals, walking foot or darning foot? FYI, I'm quilting on a Pfaff sewing machine.

It'd be more than kind of you to tell me what foot you are recommending for a diagonal line quilting. THANK YOU ♥
