These are fabrics my daughter picked up at Walmart. She cut and sewed the squares into rows, then brought the rows to me to cut the set in triangles. I cut and pinned them on each end of the rows so she wouldn’t get mixed up, also labeling rows in order. She had also brought me at the same time her backing fabric and batting. After she had came a few times and each time I reminded her that her triangles were pinned on and ready for her to finish, she would always say I’ll get them later. Well hubby and I concluded she wasn’t going to get them until mom finished it for her. So….it’s 65.5x95.5 she cut her squares 6.5 inches and I added the 5 inch border after sewing the set in triangles. She bought 6.5 yards of 45 in fabric and I had just enough for the borders, backing and binding. Of course, the backing has two seams where I pieced.

Another beautiful quilt! I am sure she will be thrilled that you helped her finish this beauty, as my daughter says it’s always says, it’s better when mom does thing's.

I love that quilt. Especially how you sprinkled the side triangle fabrics into the quilt design too. background effect!

She chose some lovely colors. It sounds like we have related daughters. Mine would wait for me to finish too

Great Teamwork! Your daughter has a good eye for color, like her mom. Are you quilting on a long arm Toogie?

Yep! She'll pick those up "later". Thanks, Mom!
That is so pretty. Teamwork came together very nicely. She chose very nicely when she went shopping.

Yes, I am free motion quilting on my long arm, that has an eighteen inch throat space. I quilt sitting down, no frame, so I am moving my quilt , not the machine. I have no electronics, so nothing is programmed. You do the work, quilting just like I did before I got my longarm but the great thing is, with 18 inches, I have so much more throat space.
I just went yesterday to try out a lady from my sewing groups machine. It IS on a frame so you move the machine. I felt I didn’t have control with it because it moved so easily. My meander had square edges instead of rounded. I told my friend she has a nice long arm set up but my husband could hang onto his money. -lol I am sure with practice I would get better and it WAS so easy loading the quilt. Better than me pinning it all like I do. Also I don’t know how you avoid having a straight line of space or design showing when you stop each time to roll.
So to conclude, I will keep quilting the way I do, which is meander or grid on my bed quilts, until I am no longer able. No bells and whistles but I like my machine.
