The GFG my MIL made for our wedding gift used a combination of #1 and #3, with a light background and black diagonally criss-crossed lattice. The large center diamond had the #1 motif , with the surrounding sections having either the #3 motif (the corners) or a single flower motif in the smaller diamonds. Wish I still had even a picture of it, but all that sort of thing went bye-bye when our house burned in 2000.

I also like the 1st one best! Makes the colors glow!

I like the 2 rows of color blocks then the black "garden path"
