I did a postage stamp quilt with 1½ squares and can appreciate your wanting to get on with something else. Mine wound up using 3,456 pieces. I absolutely LOVE the star idea. It breaks up the pattern. Thanks for sharing.

That is wonderful - The stars look like bright flowers and really add such a fabulous dimension to a traditional postage stamp quilt. What a knock out!

I love the stars too... they really add the wow factor to your beautiful quilt! Scrappy at it's very best!

DebraK 10-12-2012 06:40 AM

The little stars are 9 patches made with 2" squares. The larger stars are a 9 patch block constucted of 4-patch units and a center square of 3.5".

Love the bright colors in your quilt. I especially love the stars. Not sure that I could stick to all of those tiny squares, but sometimes that is what my brain needs to just "veg out."
Great job!!!

I finally found it! Here is the name of the member who I borrowed this idea from. I believe in giving credit where credit is do, so thank you very much, wraez. You find her quilt if you click on her posts.

I feel much better now. It was really bothering me that I couldn't remember her name ;-)
