I finished Postage Stamp Sept. 30 and had made so many blocks it was enough for two quilts! Just showing the first one done as #2 didn't show up in the pics today as the battery died right after the pic was taken so it didn't make it in time.
Windy City was my first disaster! Will never do another "on point" quilt until I learn how to handle bias' better. Love the pattern. I couldn't readjust the color on the pic. The beige blocks are actually pure white and shows the colors pretty. The inner border of green is much lighter color. Everything else looks that bright. Hope you enjoy these two laps! Very nice!

Nice! I think they turned out great!

Both are great - the Windy City makes me feel like I'm in a summer garden.

They both look great. The postage stamp one gives me an idea for my 16-patch blocks.

Great job!!!

I think they are wonderful! bias can be a pain-starch, starch, and more starch!
|
I love them both- but especially the postage stamp. I love those!! I started one 6 or 7 years ago and made about a 4' by 4' center. I got REALLY tired of those tiny squares and gave it to my mom, telling her I didn't care what she did with it, but I never wanted to see it again! LOL! Well, being a MOM, she added some borders, tied it off, and gave it back finished! :0)

Very nice. Just tell folks that the wind is blowing on Windy City, hence the ripples. Like ripples in the water, or laundry on a line.
I agree with another poster, use starch on those pesky bias triangles and handle with care. Looks pretty good, though! |

They are both great. I love your color choices. Are they for you or gifts to others.
