Pot holders from scraps
 

Have a drawer of scraps. They were laid nicely in a bag. They exploded and look like as much as before. Made 8 potholders. Have scraps for 4 more. Since the back is solid, fat 1/8 makes 2. And enough binding for 2. Used batiste for foundation. 1/8 inch thick for batting.
This makes nice house guest gift.

I have seen some really cool scrap ideas lately while moseying around online. I think it’s time I start figuring out what to do with mine. These are great!

I like the shape. New, fresh and well, refreshing. Good use of your scraps that does not involve intricate piecing. Lov'en it!

Love your spring design and colors, and the way you created a center "vein". Such a cute idea to use up those scraps too.

One year I made potholders for every house on our block. Keeping it up with new neighbors as they move in. I keep a few in our camper and when we meet nice people I like to give them a pair.

We have a place in town that accepts gently used furniture & household items for distribution to those in need and I leave potholders there too. Last year I gave them 80+ pairs. Sometimes they save thin mattress pads not suitable for beds anymore & I can use them for inside. Not as beautiful as yours however.

I don’t knit, crochet, golf, bowl, play cards etc. but I love my sewing machine.
Like someone told me years ago: there’s plenty to do if you want to do it.

Your potholders are so pretty! I like to make them when I just want to sew mindlessly. And my husband is very hard on them so I make a lot haha
