My guild decided to make wheelchair quilts to donate to a local nursing home. It was my job to pick a pattern and go pick up all the fabric, so I made a practice one to make sure everything was right. I picked the single irish chain quilt because most of our guild are newbies, and this is a very easy pattern. The quilt is 34" x 44". Today I finished up this one, and my friend and I got to go shopping for all the other fabrics. We got fabric for 12 quilts, plus all the thread, batting, and everything else we might need. It was a lot of fun to go shopping for everything!
Thanks for looking. |
That will make a great project for your guild. Have fun!

Sometime I'm going to make an irish chain..... |
What a wonderful idea for your guild to make these quilts! I love the pattern you picked and think it will be easy enough for everyone to do. If you can, please take a photo when all the quilts are finished and post them here. It would be fun to see them all finished.
