Made for a young man who recently joined the Army, and in the first weeks of basic, became very ill and is currently in an recovering in the hospital. Tied by members of his "home" church.

The pattern is based on a design called Clay's Choice originally from the Oxmoor House monthly quilt patterns.

That is an old pattern and I had forgotten how pretty it was when put together. Lovely.

He's currently at Fort Gordon Army Hospital in Georgia. Long story short: he had a sinus infection which turned into a staph infection effecting his brain, developed a blood clot in the brain giving him a stroke. Effected his speech center and has paralysis on one side of the body. He's 19 yo. It will be a long recovery process for he and his family. They are all far from home, in unfamiliar surroundings, with no immediate family for support. We in turn are sending as much support as we can. Thank you all for prayers and good thoughts.
