Pre-game Projects
2 Attachment(s)
Our daughter Kaitie was on pins and needles before the big game yesterday, so she made a couple of cute projects. (arr, arr) The demure Bunny Hill pincushion is for her and the wild and crazy Kaffe pincushion is for her boyfriend's mom, who loves the color orange. K & her boyfriend also made the neat hatpins. I am so proud of her because she had never sewn anything but straight lines before and did great with the circles!

Sweet cushions and pins! Those look longer than corsage pins for the hat pins. Where do you get pins that long?

How fun, they look great.

Both pincushions are great and so are the hat pins.
Thanks for the information about the long pins. |
Thank you all!
Karen (klaws) I love your Dave Barry quote. Dottie I didn't know that Fire Mountain Gems carried the hat pin blanks - they have great beads. Thanks for the info! Mary & Lynnie, that pincushion swap is tempting. Maybe time will allow. |
Your daughter is really talented, love her projects.
|
I LOVE those funky hatpins!
|
Really neat pincushions!!!
|
Grey project
|
Nice pin cushions. What did she use for stuffing?
|
Hi Carol,
She used dry sawdust to stuff the pincushions. It makes a great, firm stuffing, adds some weight so it doesn't tip over, and really holds the pins in well. |
Wow what a great job she did and both of them are beautiful.

Cute pin cushions....
