I met my Aunt today at my Uncle's Grave site and gave her the memory quilt I made for her using my uncle's shirts. Of course she cried. I was going to give it to her on Aug. 22 but since I had the chance to do it today, I did.

Today is the fifth anniv. of my dear Dad's funeral.. we have a memory bear made from one of his well-worn flannel shirts. The bear sits proudly on our loveseat and we feel that Dad is always with us...Bless you for doing this for your aunt and her family.

The quilt is beautiful and it was so kind of you to make. I would imagine each time she uses this she will be quite emotional, and greatful to you.

How nice that you were able to give it to her earlier than you had thought. I'm sure she will treasure it always.

What a great what to memorialize your uncle...I am working on a sig. quilt from my dad's memorial last weekend - its somewhat cathartic to construct this memento...

Lovely picture, no matter how many quilts you make, there will never be one more treasured than this one. I can see by the look on her face. You too; are a treasure. Thanks for sharing this special moment.
