Pretty kitty cat applique block
 

I wanted to help make blocks for a fellow quilter on another forum who'd just lost her husband. we were to make 9 1/2 inch blocks. so i made some of those and this kitty jumped out at me so i made her. she is 18 1/2 inches square. free fat qtrs went into her making.

That's just lovely. I like how you placed the cat shape on the floral. I'm sure it will warm her heart.

Very elegant looking cat...great fabric colors.

The fabric for the kitty is perfect against the background you chose. This kitty wants to take over the entire quilt IMO.
