Prizes for 2 DGD quilts
2 Attachment(s)
This year I only entered 3 quilts for judging in our county fair/guild quilt show. The first is the wedding quilt I began in 2002 for my DGD. I already showed a detail of this quilt. This is the first time I could take a picture of the whole thing.
The second is my DGD's Christmas quilt. I think I showed details on that before as well. I think a first and a third for 3 entries is doing pretty well. |
Beautiful and congratulations!

Congratulations on your beautiful work.

Thank you. I like the results. Now I am feeling a bit guilty about the DGS's plainer quilts.

Thank you all. The original pattern dated from the 1880's. I love it and will do it again.
|
I would be singing with joy!
|
Very well deserved!

Both are lovely but I just adore anything with hearts.
|
Congratulations, they are both beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing.
|
Thank you all for your kind comments.
The wedding quilt was a pattern I made up from obviously traditional elements, playing on my QuiltPro. When I saw the "Ladies with Hats" design in an old book, I had to play with that too. One of the joys of researching patterns and recombining things is the combination of things that are both fresh and traditional. |
Congratulations. Quilts are great. Plain is good. I'll bet if you ask your DGS he will say the same thing. Brenda
