What pattern did you use for the stars? I'm looking for a good scraps buster project!

Thanks all for the wonderful comments. I got the pattern from craftsy:

I've bought about 10 of their pp patterns and have done three of them ... so far they are all working the way they should!

It's pretty, even if it wasn't in your "safe zone", she loves it and so does her niece. I was once commissioned to make a quilt for a friend, using the strips she had sewn from possibly every craft she had ever done. Her request was that it had to have red sashing. Well, she offered to pay me, so I figured the customer is always right. All through the quilt's progress, I kept telling myself something I'd heard a well known quilt instructor, can't remember her name, but she said that to her red was a neutral and she had the crayon colored house to prove it. So, I just kept saying, "Red is a neutral, red is a neutral." My DH and DS loved it and so did she, so I guess red is a neutral if you keep telling yourself that.
