Ok, it's not what I called it...the pattern is actually named Professional Tote Bag. I had to explain it...I didn't want it to come across as snobby...lol. I made this for my Mom for Christmas.

Its made by creativethimble.com

It was fun to put together! I had made one a few months ago and swore I wouldn't make another one. But it went together so much better this time!

joeyoz 12-27-2009 10:33 AM

Thank you BeachBirdie. I have had a couple of patterns I swore I would never make again and ended up just rewriting the instructions so they were easier to follow.

Your Tote is beautiful and thank you for the info.

I love it. Great fabrics. You did awesome. It does look like a hard pattern. Probably out of my league so I'll just admire yours. But if you want to give it up I'll surely take it. :-D

sewjoyce 12-27-2009 11:17 AM

I love it! I've actually got the pattern but haven't had a chance to make it yet.... :D

Beautiful choice of fabrics! It seems we can never have enough totes and each one is special! Your mom should be proud to carry this one! Everyone will probably know who made it!

Deb watkins 12-29-2009 11:53 AM

What a great job. I do so envy those of you who can do zippers. They just give me fits every time!

laparshall 12-29-2009 12:31 PM

Well I am a professional secretary (not to sound snobby of course) and I would love to take that tote back and forth to work each day. Very nice zippered pocket and it looks like there is enough space for my magazines/book, my lunch bag and even a bottle of water. And still more pockets for all of the little stuff that I can't live without. I love it. Great fabric choices too.

That is wonderful. Great job.

wvdek 09-17-2010 07:25 PM

BeachBirdie I know this an older post, but I have a question about the tote you made.

If you were to make another one, is there anything you would do differrently? Bigger, smaller, more pockets, less pockets, zipper, no zipper, etc.

I am getting ready to make DD a tote and this is very close to what she wants.
Thansk.

b.zang 09-17-2010 07:26 PM

The LQS in a neighbouring town did that as a workshop.
I was sorely tempted.
That will be a great gift.
