I just finished this tote...I'm glad to. It wasn't all that fun to put together. I may try again, but we'll see.

Beautiful!!! Love the colors and you did a great job. Take it from me, the 2nd one is much easier. I've made 3 now....

Love the fabrics you chose! What a nice, bright tote. I'm interested in your comments, as my LQS has that same pattern as a class I've been considering. What has held me back is my wondering how useful another tote can be (some aren't user-friendly).

I'm proud of you! I haven't had the guts to try it yet. Cute fabrics!

I just saw this pattern at a LQS. I love what you did with it! I just made an oversized tote to carry on the plane when I go to New Zealand, but it is too big for everyday use, I really like yours, perfect size. Was it hard?

BeachBirdie 09-30-2009 07:21 PM

Take the class...there were a few things I wished I could have gotten some help but I did finish. I think this would be a great diaper bag.

A few times I felt like I was going to pull my hair out but all in all it wasn't that bad.

Beautiful work....looks a little out of my league (I just do grocery bags!).

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 09-30-2009 07:24 PM

It looks great!

Hmm, maybe I'm make one to have on hand for when I get to that stage of my life

I agree with Birdie, too.....if you can take a class, DO! I, too, was a little balder by the time I got the first one done.

Yours looks fabulous! Lots of work, I know, but worth it!! (I have the pattern and keep telling myself that! :D )

You did a great job!!!!

Was the center interior pocket hard to put in? It looks like it would be!

BeachBirdie 10-01-2009 10:10 AM

Thanks everyone! It was a bit challenging (sp) but I'm glad to have finished it. I made for an older woman at my LQS, she's a hand sewer so she asked me to make it for her. Now that I've gotten one under my belt I'll probably make myself one. :) :)

Love the fabric! Awesome job. I am in the midst of making my second one of these. They are intense but a lot of fun and really nicely put together when done.

fluffbug95 10-04-2009 05:48 AM

Amazing job! Those are amazing! :D

Deb G 10-06-2009 05:09 PM

What pattern did you used?

RedGarnet222 10-06-2009 09:38 PM

I love your colorful choice of fabrics. The pattern has some really nice features. Nice job on it.

deedum 10-06-2009 09:50 PM

Very nice, but like someone said earlier, out of my league. I do have a tote I am going to try to make this weekend at a retreat if I get feeling better.

Maksi 10-06-2009 10:18 PM

Another nice tote! What kind of stabilizer did you use?

Cuddly Quilter 01-22-2011 10:31 PM

Absolutely beautiful. Your workmanship is wonderful. Loving the fabrics you used also. This is definitely worth all the tough parts. I must make myself a tote.
