The instructions state that you can do a king size but I haven't tried it (and don't plan on it). You buy your own rails any size you want. They don't come with the frame. The one I'm working on is 48 x 60 so I'm using 6 foot rails and have a comfortable amount of room on each side of the quilt.

Gorgeous!

About my perfect stitching.... Thanks for thinking so. I used to do a lot of counted cross stitch so I was used to pulling the thread up and down through the fabric with each stitch. These are not tiny stitches... only about 4 per inch. I don't use the rocking motion... it's stab and grab as I call it. Stick the needle down, pull, stick the needle up, pull, etc. And I use the 1/4 inch tape as a guide. Slow but pretty!

Oh my! Beautiful stitches!

I bought the frame on ebay. Love it! No basting.... just pin it on, roll as you go!

Beautiful quilt, I like that quilting frame too. It doesn't take up a lot of room, but it looks like the quilt is just at the right height.

Thank you for sharing this----I love hand quilting but will never be able to reach the "gold standard" that I read about. But I like the look of longer stitches much better so it works for me. And I am slow as well but then I am not trying to win a race.

MOMMAC 10-21-2011 11:21 AM
