I have been wondering and wondering about how to do this – if you do this like an around the world block with tube sewing, how do you add more fabric? I mean, if you have a strata with fabrics 1-9, how do you add fabrics 10-20 and have them follow 9? Does that make sense? Help!
Your quilt looks amazing, by the way! |
Thanks Alot! I don't know alot of the terms, but essentially I made two giant tubes that were exactly the same, except the seams on each were ironed in different directions -- they were really big and unwieldy -- they I (we) cut those into strips of various widths are am now sewing them back together --

I love it! This may sound weird but it brought back a memory of when I was a kid and we used to fold gum wrappers and sort of weave them by color and they would end up looking very much like the pattern in this quilt.
